The Georgia Aquarium opened in 2005 and is the largest aquarium in the US. It holds more than 120,000 sea creatures from around the world. It organizes the animals into exhibitions such as ocean habitat, river environment, tropical setting, and polar regions. Some of the favorite animals are sharks, dolphins, whales, and sea lions.

Zoo Atlanta is one of the oldest establishments opened in 1889. It holds over 200 different species with 1,500 animals. The exhibitions recreate environments such as rain forests, African Savanna, reptiles, and a children’s zoo. Some of the favorite animals include lions, gorillas, pandas, elephants, lemurs, and flamingos.

The NBA’s Atlanta Hawks play in the State Farm Arena, which holds over 16,000 fans. The NFL’s Atlanta Falcons play in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which holds 71,000 fans. The MLB’s Atlanta Braves play in Truist Park, which holds over 41,000 fans.

Each of the venues host stadium tours to see behind the scenes of the operation and the locker rooms. But nothing beats joining the fans on game day to root on the home team!
