Zoo Atlanta is one of the oldest establishments opened in 1889. It holds over 200 different species with 1,500 animals. The exhibitions recreate environments such as rain forests, African Savanna, reptiles, and a children’s zoo. Everyone loves Coca-Cola, but did you know the beverage brand started in Atlanta? The World of Coca-Cola is a museum experience to discover everything about Coke, starting from its origins in 1886.
World of Coca-Cola holds over one thousand artifacts collected over the years to tell the story about the brand, the drink, and more. Visitors can get a glimpse into the secret formula, see how a bottling line operates, and watch a mini-documentary about the brand played in a 4D theater.

- Piedmont Park
Piedmont Park is a massive urban park located near downtown. The 189 acres of green space is the perfect destination for relaxing and enjoying a beautiful day in Atlanta.
Locals and tourists visit Piedmont Park to enjoy various recreational activities. It has a wide range of public courts and fields for baseball, tennis, volleyball, and soccer. There are also walking and biking trails winding around the park. The park features a large lark where the public can fish.
The large park meadow is great for lounging and taking in the scenic views of Midtown. The summer is one of the best times to visit since there are always music concerts, festivals, and other special events happening in the park.

The summertime is the most popular time to visit Atlanta. It’s the hottest time of the year and when you’ll have a lot of outdoor activities happening, such as in Piedmont Park. The Spring and Fall are also great when the weather is slightly cooler, but still warm enough to enjoy the outdoors.

Getting Around Atlanta
Atlanta is a vast city with many of its attractions spread out in various neighborhoods. One thing you’ll always hear about is the Atlanta traffic – whether you’re driving around in the morning rush hour or at night, the streets always seem to be filled.
Driving can be convenient for getting around, but you’ll have several other options. Atlanta has an excellent metro system where you can travel between many of the favorite areas in the city. It’s sometimes faster than driving due to the traffic.
On nice days, you can rent scooters and bikes to travel short distances and get a better street view of Atlanta.

Atlanta has several great neighborhoods to stay during your visit. As we’ve mentioned about the traffic, try to pick your accommodation near most of the things you want to do during your trip. It will save lots of time and allow you to accomplish more of your itinerary.
Some of the favorite neighborhoods to stay in Atlanta include:

- Midtown
- Buckhead
Downtown and Midtown are the top visitor places to stay thanks to all of the nearby attractions. You’ll also be nearby several restaurants, shops, and more. Buckhead is a bit outside of the city center, but it’s considered one of the upscale neighborhoods where you’ll have luxury hotel options.
